Leah Molyneux is Lecturer in Criminology. She earned her PhD in Sociology from The University of Liverpool in 2025. Her PhD research was funded by an ESRC CASE studentship in partnership with the College of Policing. This doctoral research utilised ethnographic methods and focused on the influence of sergeants on frontline discretionary practices. Her most recent article Masking the Inner-Killjoy details the ethical and methodological complexities of this work.  

Dr. Molyneux has taught undergraduate courses on policing, qualitative methodology, critical criminology and sociological theory. She has served as a research assitant on high-impact projects, including developing digitally-enabled domestic abuse training for police constables. Her reserach interests include policing, violence against women and girls and sociomaterilaism.
