I joined Liverpool Hope University in 2004, bringing with me a long and varied career in education, health, social care working mostly with children and adults who are labelled as having learning disabilities.  For the first 16 years of my academic career I played a key role in the development of a new BA Disability Studies (now referred to as BA SEN) and in particular led on the first-year course. Six years ago I moved to the Health, Social Care and Social Work team and am currently Programme Lead for the BA Health and Social Care. 

I have a range of other responsibilities including being Lead Senior Academic Advisor (SAA), having been an SAA for 20 years and Assessment Coordinator for Health and Social Care.
